Honestly? There is no single Sci-fi movie that stands out to me personally as particularly bad to the point of being note-worthy. So I have to pass.

It's a classic! Grew up with the stuff 
Aliens was the inspiration for, and fore-father of, modern mainstream stuff like Prometheus 
(Which was actually a pretty cool movie).
As for your pick ... T2 ..?
I hope you don't mean Terminator 2?

Couldn't agree more - other than the part about the first movie, Alien. While a fantastic film I never gravitated toward it like I did the second movie. Third was good too. Fourth was just ... uhgg. But I think with Prometheus they kinda did it justice, personally.
And agree with AvP. The Predator series was fantastic up to the second movie. Beyond that it just went to hell ...

You're probably quite right.
Personally I wasn't following Prometheus's development and filming beforehand. I don't really seem to pay much attention to the entertainment industry anymore, so when the movie came out I didn't really know anything about it other than some common rumors of it's connection to the Alien franchise, so I found it quite spectacular with a good storyline that didn't completely **** over all the films that had come before it (unlike what happens with so many other prequels/sequels these days).
Another favorite would be Event Horizon. That movie gave me chills the first time I saw it, and is one I can watch over and over again without getting tired of it.
